We don’t claim to know the future but if there is one thing we’re sure of…, it’s that from July 6th – 15th, 2012 we’re going to be feeling a little blue.
2012 marks the 19th annual Tremblant Blues Festival and we can’t think of any summer event we enjoy more. This year promises to be better than ever with artists from all around the world representing not only classic blues but everything from boogie-woogie to gospel. Over the course of ten days Tremblant will see over 150 FREE concerts! That’s right, you can come and watch some of the music industry’s best performers and not pay a dime!

Debbie Davies @ 9:00pm – Telus Stage @ Place Saint-Bernard
Arguably the top female blues guitarist, Debbie is in Tremblant for one show only and should not be missed. Her guitar playing has been likened to such greats as Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

A 40-year old institution, Tower of Power has a sound that is described as urban soul music. Extremely high energy and with an entire horn section, TOP is best seen live!

The Bart Walker Band @ 5:00pm – Telus Stage @ Place Saint-Bernard
Another great classic blues guitarist, Bart Walker won this year’s prestigious Gibson Guitar Best Blues Guitarist Award at the International Blues Challenge and the band came in second overall! This is the perfect show to finish off a Sunday.

Royal Southern Brotherhood @ 8:00pm – Volkswagon Stage @ Place des Voyageurs
Truly the new reigning kings of Southern rock, RSB is going to keep your toes tapping and your fists pumping. Their self-titled album is perfect for the drive into Tremblant though you have to keep an eye on your speedometer; it’s easy to get carried away!

Don’t be put off by the name or tattoos, Popa Chubby and his electric blues, are downright magical. Fingers crossed he performs his amazing rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

Though it may not be your typical Blues Festival performance, we can’t wait to take-in the uplifting gospel of Jireh. A fantastic way to finish what is sure to be an amazing ten days!
